A pilgrimage to find our spiritual way in this day and age

A Weekend Retreat at the Corrymeela Centre, Ballycastle: 14-16 March 2008

Come and Walk with Me ...

His way was in the deep. This is the path that we seek on this retreat. The real journey for the Celtic saints was essentially inward to discover the Father's love and purpose. Their journeys over sea and land were, in fact, sacramental expressions of this reality.

Does this way, in the deep, still exist? Can a pathway between worlds still be found? Is this way the chief legacy of Celtic Spirituality? This retreat will be a time to learn about sacramental living, and to experience a cleansing of our senses, and a washing of our feet.

Come and experience a fresh engagement with nature and in our session on the beach we will use all of our senses to see the Creator’s voice in creation.

If you feel sometimes that you are living in exile, alienated, or needing more for your faith journey: come walk with us this weekend on the Peregrinus rian and journey home to God.

Terry Hogg leads the Coracle Christian Community, based in West Belfast. He has a Masters in Theology from Queens University in the Apocalyptic writings. Terry lives in Randalstown with his wife Geraldine, and has two daughters, Clare and Lisa, who live in London. Terry lives a lifestyle seeking a pathway between urban alienation and the healing lifestyle of contemplation. This, he believes, is the heritage of our Celtic Christian tradition.

Footfalls echo in the memory Down the passage which we did not take Towards the door we never opened Into the rose-garden. My words echo thus, in your mind. But to what purpose, Disturbing the dust on a bowl of rose-leaves, I do not know.
